A VISIT TO THE PIER RESTAURANT ABUJA

Image
I want to start this article by sayings that this wasn’t a planned post. So the pictorial contents might not be well explanatory and our visit to the pier restaurant was a last-minute decision but for sure was not a regrettable one. So, you can just enjoy the beautiful photos of I and my friends at The pier restaurant's ambient. Location The pier restaurant is located at Ahmadu Bello Way, Kado Abuja. It’s pretty straight forward once you are using google map. But it’s not someplace you can easily locate if you are driving pass reasons because the restaurant itself is quite a drive from the main entrance and the main entrance is not so attractive so you may not easily notice it at first glance. The environment The environment was quite serene and this was one of the things I appreciated about the restaurant. They had this sort of mini zoo, well not exactly but there were ducks and a kind of bird (which I didn’t know the name lol) around a corner at the entrance of the restau...

HOW MUCH WATER DO WE NEED?

Image
Water is one of my favourite things as now. One short story is that when I was younger, I hardly took water reasons because I always forget to take it. But right now it’s a whole different story because I crave water and let’s also say, to incorporate the healthy living lifestyle I try to pick water over other types of drinks. (Emphasis on the “try” please lol!!). Water they say is life. Without it, there would be no existence of life. Our development and evolution are in one way or another connected to this seemingly tasteless, colourless and odourless substance. The average adult’s body is about 60 – 63% water, The body itself is approximately 70% water, the brain is made of about 80% water, 99% of our body molecules are water, our kidneys comprise of  up to 83% water and the list goes on and on. Although water is unexciting and easily overlooked, it has many benefits secretly hidden within itself and I’m so happy to be sharing it with you today. What exactly are these benefi...

Image
In two words hiking for me is: fun-exercise. I started hiking in May 2020, and the fulfillment of getting to the top of a hill after a very long and vigorous climb has made me always want to continue hiking till today. A little truth? Hiking is hard. Yes, so if you are a newbie like I was as at May 2020 thinking to try hiking one day, please cancel any thought that you would just walk through to the top easily (this was actually my thinking when I first started lol). Hiking teaches you endurance and team spirit. So trust me when I say the going is hard and you might feel like giving up in the process but reaching the end/top gives you some kind of empowerment to want to do more and it is this feeling that has made me keep hiking till today. Hiking has a lot of benefits on our health, mental and social wellbeing; It improves blood flow in the body and cardiovascular health and this is very helpful to prevent diseases such as diabetes hypertension, obesity, arthritis. You ca...
