TYPES OF DETOX DIET YOU SHOULD KNOW

It is also said that consuming artificial sweeteners makes one store up more fat, It leads to overeating as a result of increased energy storage thereby, causing overweight.
SMOOTHIE CLEANSE: This type of detox diet is made by blending a combination of some fruit and vegetables. The method retains all the nutrients in the fruits and vegetables including the fiber thereby, filling the body with healthy nutrients at the same time staying full while on the diet. Some food that is tasty and nutritious and can promote toxin release when included in a smoothie cleanse recipe are; watermelon, ginger, lemon, avocado, cilantro, lime, apples, plain unsweetened yogurt, fennel, pineapple, beetroot.

HYPOALLERGENIC DIET: This type of detox diet is also known as the elimination diet. It is designed to identify food causing disease symptoms (those food that may be the cause of some reactions in the body which may look like reactions caused by a disease or an infection) such as swelling, itching, gastrointestinal problems in sensitive individuals. It is done by the process of elimination and re-introduction.
The aim of the detox is to take a break from certain food
groups and see what happens then slowly re-introduce this food to see the
reactions of the body to them. This detox diet helps to identify food allergies
in sensitive individuals.
JUICE CLEANSE: This type of detox diet is done by juicing several combinations of fruit and vegetables using a juicer. The detox diet is recommended to be taken within a period of 3-5 days and during this period, one should reduce their level of activity (activity level should be very minimal). The benefit of this detox is that the nutrients from the juice are easily absorbed into the body and the body’s natural detoxifying system (kidney, liver) is much more relaxed and not under pressure.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE DETOX: This detox diet is done by eating raw or cooked fruits and vegetables for a certain number of days could be 2-3 days. The idea of this detox is to give your body a break from processed food, dairy, and animal products. Since fruits and vegetables are lower in calories, it puts less pressure on the digestive system at the same time supplying the body with healthy nutrients. It is a good way to have a fresh start towards a healthy lifestyle and to also observe the reaction of the body when these processed food and animal products are being avoided.

MY THREE (3) DAYS FRUIT AND VEGETABLE JUICE DETOX JOURNEY
So, I had some of the symptoms I mentioned in the article what you need to know about a detox diet and for people like me that hate taking
drugs or injection, I decided to settle for a three (3) days juice detox fast
using fruits and vegetables.
DAY 1
FRUITS: apples
VEGETABLES: carrots, cucumbers, and celery
DAY 2
FRUITS: lemon, apples
VEGETABLES: Cucumbers and celery
DAY 3
FRUITS: orange
VEGETABLES: celery and carrots
All the fruits and vegetables were juiced and stored in
containers according to the required days into breakfast, lunch, and dinner
portions. So that means three portions for each day. This was a strict detox.
That is, taking nothing but this juice for 3 days
MY RESULTS
My results were magnificent. Firstly I lost 5kg just within
these 3 days which was really unexpected because that wasn’t my aim for the
detox (emphasis on the fact that losing the weight wasn’t my goal and some lost weight came back a few days after the detox, also the
amount of weight loss doesn’t apply to everyone because individuals are
different). But most importantly, all the symptoms were gone and I felt so
light and energized. During the first day, I still had some of the symptoms and
even felt a bit weaker but going through the second day I experienced changes
and improvements till the last day at this point I decided to add a detox plan
to my lifestyle. So far, I have been able to do the detox diet twice at
different occasions for the same reasons and the results were the same which
was magnificent!! all my constant headaches were gone, the moodiness stopped and I was happier, my energy level also increased. I was a better version of myself. My reaction towards the detox diet cannot be the same with
